Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and role (Event Host or Vendor).

Vendor Profile Information: Business name, description, phone number, website, service areas, portfolio images, and pricing information.

Event & Request Information: Event details, service requests, bids, messages, and reviews submitted through the Platform.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. WedRequest does not store credit card numbers. We may retain Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Platform, including pages visited, actions taken, and device information.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Platform's services.
To process transactions and manage subscriptions.
To match Event Hosts with relevant Vendors based on service categories and locations.
To send notifications about bids, messages, and account activity.
To send promotional communications (you can opt out at any time).
To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraud.
To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience.

3. Information Sharing

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Between Users: Vendor profiles are publicly visible. When a Vendor submits a bid, their business information is shared with the Event Host.
Service Providers: We use third-party services (e.g., Stripe for payments, email delivery services) that may process your data on our behalf.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records).

You have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.

WedRequest is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data promptly.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. WedRequest does not sell personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
